The Collaborative Life Sciences Building project is a partnership between the Oregon University System (OUS) and the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU). The project will be a state-of-the-art, LEED Gold minimum certified health science and life science teaching and research facility. Its vision is to bring together the state’s leading public and private academic research resources in related sciences. The CLSB is a 300,000 +/- square foot building with a pair of 7 and 5-story towers and atrium that will include lecture halls, classrooms, labs, specialty research areas, and offices.
The Skourtes Tower (Dental School) is a 7-story, 180,000 +/- square foot addition to the north CLSB tower. This facility will provide a replacement for the current Dental School located on the Marquam Hill campus.
There is also a 150,000 +/- square foot two-level garage with 450 =/- underground parking stalls located under the CLSB footprint.
The current schedule anticipates a completion of the CLSB portion ready for occupancy by Fall 2013. The Dental School tenant improvements will finish in 2014.
The project location is on SW Moody, in Portland, Oregon, near the location of the new TriMet Willamette River bridge crossing.
Total direct project construction budget is approximately $200,000,000.
